My Life With Horses I was born in Oldenburg, Germany, a magical place where horses seem to inspire every waking moment and I started riding competitively at age of 6. My early days riding were with my great Greek donkey Julia, from there I moved on to the Pony Circuit and my first real horse at the age of 14. The journey of my life with horses has strong roots from these early years. I have shown at most every National Show in the area of Niedersachsen, Germany. Dressage, Show Jumping and Eventing are just some of the facets of this sport I have experienced. I fell in love with the English language as a teen when I worked for 2 summers in Sussex County, England as a working student with a family of great Event Trainers. This helped encouraged my first trip to the West Coast of USA in 1978.. In 1983 at the age of 20, I passed the "Bereiter FN" exam and received my diploma from the German Riding School in Warendorf, Germany. During Feb. of 1984 I traveled to the USA to take on my Training Post at Thornbrook Farm, and from here the story continues as you can see be my achievements listed below. Worth to mention is my lifelong influence with music, growing up I played several instruments, and studied Ballroom Dancing for several years, with the result of a Amateur Bronze & Silver Medal award in Ballroom Dancing in Germany. This has taken me to riding to music, performing Musical Freestyles at every level. And now designing my own freestyles, as well as Award winning Freestyles for several other riders. In 2007 I have put my feet into a new venue ,and have joined CENTERLINE EVENTS as a Horse Show Consultant, started a position with the CDA Board of Directors and have run the BROADFIELDS 121 Breed Sporthorse Show at Tenbroeck Farm, Pepperell, MA , along with organizing Schooling Shows for Wells Valley Farm in New Milford, CT.
